Here are the lyrics and chords to this week’s tune:
What it Really is
We’re all hunting for an animal we don’t know.
When we bag the game and we catch it,
we’ll know what it really is.
What it really is.
I have colleague who can answer any question.
We communicate through equations.
I just need to frame the question to get him to reply.
He’ll know what it really is.
What it really is.
After years of searching in the dark
and living in confusion,
there will come a time
when I’ll know what it really is.
What it really is.
And great waves of color will crash before my eyes.
Brilliant, vague, and beautiful.
Beautiful.
There’s a voice inside my head,
a spiritual technology
that keeps me going,
keeps me going.
It keeps me going -
as frail, flawed and fallible as I am.

A Million Hungry Eyes [Jonathan Seet Cover]
I remember in Red Square, the monuments to us.
A little toxin in our drinks had turned our tongues to rust.
It’s so hard to believe you’re a swan.
The curtains hang half-drawn.
You wait for earth or sun to bring you dawn
A million hungry mouths would strip you to your bones
And every note would still be perfectly in tune.
A million hungry eyes would strip you to your clothes.
And everyone would still, they’d say you hung the moon.
They’d say you hung the moon
You brought me pages of hardcore torn and casts of lovers yet unborn.
You carried me across the room in a swoon
to soon forget you hung the moon.
A million hungry mouths would strip you to your bones.
And every note would still be perfectly in tune.
A million hungry eyes would strip you to your clothes.
And everyone would still, they’d say you hung the moon.
Be quiet on the set.
Take one
Be quiet on the set.
Take two
Be quiet on the set…
‘Cause a million hungry mouths would strip you to your bones.
And every note would still be perfectly in tune.
A million hungry eyes would strip you to your clothes
and everyone would still, They’d say you hung the moon.

Our #songaweek project continues to generate great buzz and has also created more interest in past works.
This week, we’re honored to be a featured artist on MBTV. MBTV is currently playing “Dark Lotus” and is also featuring a still from Reza Dolatabadi’s fantastic work on their website’s homepage.
If you’d like to see our video stay on MBTV’s playlist, you can vote for it under their ‘viewer’s choice’ section here.
HomeGrown TV, a regional TV Show in the NY area, will be featuring a’tris’ music videos. HomeGrown reaches 700,000 viewers every Sat. at 10PM. They’ve been on the air for three years now on Cablevision Network (channel 115) and their format is a lot like MTV (when MTV actually played music).
Thanks to DJ Raine and our friends at HomeGrown, you can now check us out on their featured artist page. When you have a moment, we’d highly recommend giving some of the other artists’ videos an ear too. We have great company there.
To thank HomeGrown, we put this little video together:
HomeGrown TV’s support means a lot to this musician. Especially because it’s his birthday today
This has to be one of the coolest time-lapse videos I’ve seen in a long time. Man, I love NYC. These runners weren’t too far from my apartment. How neat is that?
I just finished watching the Arcade Fire’s new incredible new film, The Wilderness Downtown, and couldn’t resist sharing it with you. Built in collaboration with Google and director Chris Milk, the film combines Arcade Fire’s “We Used To Wait” with some of the coolest animation you’ve ever seen. Windows jump around your monitor. Clips of a place you might recognize are color-corrected in to the picture courtesy of street view. You are even invited to write a letter to yourself on the screen. I have never seen something this interactive and engaging. Congratulations to The Arcade Fire and Google for creating something seriously unique. I’d highly recommend downloading Google chromehere and checking this out at www.thewildernessdowntown.com.
Here’s the postcard I created during the video. If you chose to leave yourself a message while watching this, what did you write? Drop us a line!
The Metric gang just released their music video for “Eclipse (All Yours)”, appropriately titled to tie in with the new Twilightmovie. I’m so glad to see these guys getting such fantastic exposure. I’ve been a huge fan of theirs all the way back to the Grow Up and Blow Away days. I remember catching Emily play a solo show in Boston a few years ago. She is seriously one of the most talented and amazing artists I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing live.
Click the above screenshot to watch the video!
She also looks as good in person as she does in this video. No, better. Emily, if you’re reading this, can we collaborate?
P.S. If you liked this post, you might want to check out a piece I wrote in January about this project which I feel I appropriately titled “The Genius of Peter Gabriel”
Olivier Rosset of HIGHSNOBIETY posted an incredibly imaginative video recently about time perspectives. I would like to share that with you today. I think everyone can take something away from this.
